We were tasked to come up with a couple of concepts for Audio Crack Entertainment, a primarily hip-hop and R&B production company. These will be used across the print spectrum from clothing to magazines. Along with sample colors, we had conceptual input from the client.  We used Photoshop along with a couple of vector graphics done in Illustrator. Here is what we came up with:

Everyone has had an image that loses detail due to too much light in the photo. If you must use this photo, there is a simple tool in Photoshop that can help you enhance photos

Here is before, notice especially the right shoulder and the hairline where the light is too bright.

overexposed after

Here is the after, with more shadows added and the color enhanced. How did we do it?

1. Make a copy of your image layer. You always want a good copy to compare or maybe go back to in the future.

2. With the copied layer selected, go to your top taskbar and select Image> Adjustments> Shadow/Highlight. In these settings you can adjust for all types of deficiencies in your photo.

Shadow/Highlight tool is very powerful and can really help you create nice effects, apart from just photo repair, play around with it!
